Made is brass, these pieces are handcrafted. The controlled undulations are carefully introduced to enhance and magnify the effect of the dancing amber flame inside.
On October 27 2025, Amsterdam will celebrate its 750th anniversary. This will be celebrated grandly from October 27 2024 onwards, until the actual birthday a year later.
Inspired from the popular Indian festival of lights- Diwali, this light installation composed of approximately 70 floating Deepams, spread over an 100m in the canal of Amsterdam.
It invites the viewers to partake in the spirit of Diwali and share its universal message of light and hope.
